The powders we make end up on rice cakes at neighbourhood tteok shops, on summer shaved ice, and in the morning misugaru. Samjin food is a Korean grain and pulse processing manufacturer in Seongju, producing roasted soybean powder, black soybean powder, kinako-style coatings, mixed grain powder, starches and food additives. HACCP and FSSC 22000 certified facility. OEM and ODM production available.

How we manufacture
Production capabilityEvery stage from raw material intake to packaging runs on our own equipment. With no outsourced processing, blending and particle size can be adjusted to order.
We handle contract manufacturing for your brand, including formulation development. Small lot orders are accepted.
500 g and 1 kg are our standard formats. Packaging specifications can be discussed to suit your application.
Milling fineness is varied according to the end use, whether rice cakes, beverages or bakery applications.
Roasting is done in cauldrons, with roasting conditions managed separately for each product.
Depending on the item, we produce with either Korean or imported raw material. Origin follows each product's labelling.

FAQWhat does Samjin food manufacture?
We manufacture pulse powders including roasted soybean powder, black soybean powder, soybean coating powder, raw soybean powder and soybean powder for cold noodle soup, along with grain products such as mixed grain powder, glutinous rice flour, rice flour and malt powder. We also produce starch products including potato, sweet potato and corn starch, seed products such as roasted sesame, perilla seed powder and black sesame powder, infusion teas, and food additives including baking powder and baking soda.
Do you offer OEM and ODM production?
Yes. We handle contract manufacturing for your brand and can develop formulations together. Small lot orders are accepted, and quotations are prepared individually based on quantity and specification.
What food safety certifications do you hold?
We hold HACCP certification for starch products, grain products, pulse products, other processed products, infusion tea, leavening agents and compound preparations, and are certified to FSSC 22000. For export we have completed GACC overseas manufacturer registration with China and US FDA food facility registration.
Can packaging format and particle size be adjusted?
Our standard formats are 500 g and 1 kg, and packaging specifications can be discussed to suit your application. Milling fineness is also varied according to the end use, whether rice cakes, beverages or bakery applications.
Do you export?
We export to the United States, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and China. Export to China is available for GACC-registered items only. For other countries, please contact us and we will confirm the applicable import requirements.
Are you related to the other companies named Samjin?
No. Samjin food is a grain and pulse processing manufacturer established in 1983 and based in Seongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. There are separate Korean companies with similar names operating in fish cake manufacturing and in sauces and seasonings. We produce grain powders, pulse powders, starches and food additives.
Where are you located?
Our head office and plant are at 31, Yongjeonggongdan-gil, Yongam-myeon, Seongju-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea. The company began in Daegu in 1983 as Yudong Food and moved to the current site in 1998.
